Say This to Your Girlfriend
She Was Speechless — Utterly Blown Away
I've been in a relationship with this girl for about 3 months now. About a week ago we were fooling around, talking about nothing in particular, and I started commenting on how great I thought she was. I do this from time to time, and she always enjoys it.
This time, however, I just happened to make the remark that I thought of her as one of my best friends (which, in fact, I do).
Before I even realized what I had actually said, she was speechless — utterly blown away.
After she did regain her speaking ability, I asked why it meant so much to her. She explained, that me considering her one of my best friends was a big indicator that I really care about her (which, in fact, I do).
It's like this... if the girl thinks you're her best friend, or even a friend at all, it's a security. She doesn't have to worry about you running away from her, or cheating, etc. Telling her also makes her want you more. It shows her that you're not only a good talker, but also sensitive as well.
